Salvation Pretty

kitsch me deadly

This is the best episode of Cooking the Books ever, no offense to the other episodes, thanks to SAM LIPSYTE and CERIDWEN MORRIS but also thanks in no small part to ANDREW GAUTHIER and his amazing MICROPHONES and TECHNICAL EXPERTISE.  We shot this with three cameras!  You can hear most of the words we say!  We are essentially on the Food Network, except we can say “fucking.”

In keeping with our ongoing theme of “silly t-shirts”, which I suspect no one finds amusing but us, Emily is seen here sporting a slim fit, beige number borrowed from the Val Collection.  The shirt, which Emily wore anyway even though I don’t live in a smoke-free house and all of my clothes, especially polyester items from the 1970s, develop a vaguely unpleasant musty odor, has the phrase “Eat Your Heart Out, Mine’s Gone” written across the front.  The ebay lot that I got this from also contained a similiar shirt, except it was blue and said “Rain or Shine, Your Place or Mine.”  Gotta love those 70s aphorisms!
